Social Researchers & Advisors | London / San Francisco / Toronto

GlobeScan, a leader in stakeholder intelligence and engagement, has immediate openings for social researchers and advisors across all three of its offices in London, San Francisco and Toronto.

We are seeking three talented candidates with between 5 and 10 years experience to join our team and help us support our clients to become better and more recognized leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver breakthrough insights, strategic direction, and creative solutions to reputation, branding and sustainability challenges.
  • Provide significant client support, during and after a project and fulfill GlobeScan’s promise of being a true partner to its clients.
  • Manage multi-source and evidence based international projects using a combination of research techniques and tools.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through concise and objective-meeting analysis and reporting, and through actionable recommendations.
  • Expand the existing business portfolio and help generate new business from existing and potential clients.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 to 10 years business experience in reputation management, brand strategy, corporate/public affairs, or sustainability/CSR strategy.
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize many inputs, including primary and secondary opinion research, into new insights and recommendations in clear and compelling narratives.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and provide strategic, actionable advice to clients.
  • Demonstrated skill in multiple project oversight.
  • Writing that demonstrates an exceptional understanding of the issues and the overall business context.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior colleagues.
  • Having tertiary qualifications or experience in Anthropology, Business, Marketing, Psychology or Sociology is highly desirable.

Senior Research Executive/Project Manager, London / San Francisco / Toronto

GlobeScan is seeking to fill an immediate vacancy for an ambitious SRE/Project Manager to join its expanding London, San Francisco, and London teams and work with a range of global leadership organisations.

In this role, you will manage a wide range of research projects across different practice areas and clients. You will be a ‘hands on’ project manager - liaising with clients, analysing data, producing reports and presentations, coordinating with other research team members, and ensuring that best practice is achieved at all times. The successful candidate will enjoy the satisfaction of taking a long-term assignment from beginning to completion, the buzz of short-term work to meet an important deadline, and the opportunity to help guide our clients’ strategy.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Project coordination/management
  • Development of research instruments
  • Client liaison
  • Data analysis
  • Preparing charts, reports and presentations
  • Conducting one-on-one stakeholder interviews

Qualities

You will possess both a solid grounding in research fundamentals and an inquisitive mindset with interests in corporate and public affairs issues. You are a highly effective communicator, energetic and organised. You will be ambitious to develop your career towards a strategic, client-facing role in the long term.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • 3 to 5 years’ agency experience in quantitative opinion research methodologies or brand research (ideally with some qualitative experience)
  • In-depth knowledge of research and analysis methodologies
  • High proficiency with MS Office Excel and PowerPoint
  • Evidence of innovative thinking and problem solving
  • Experience of adding strategic value to research insights
