Stakeholder Research Process

GlobeScan recognizes that the process of stakeholder research is as important as the outcomes. We have carefully developed a proven and systematic approach to stakeholder engagement that delivers insights for internal change, strategic planning, issues management, and external communications. What follows is a typical example.

Phase 1: Setting the Stage Through Qualitative Internal Interviews

GlobeScan recommends in-depth interviews with senior managers to uncover the issues that matter most to the company. These interviews provide an inside-out view into challenges and opportunities, the strengths and weaknesses of its reputation, and corporate strategy. They also help to identify key stakeholders, provide the foundation for the questionnaire, and act as a consensus-forming function internally for the research approach.

Phase 2: Stakeholder Identification and Surveying

GlobeScan finalizes the stakeholder groups, ensuring that only high-level Opinion Leaders participate in the study. Only qualified stakeholders are interviewed by senior researchers. Treating stakeholders respectfully and collegially, is critical to secure ongoing access to a high-level stakeholder panel.
