He also serves on the board of a number of companies and served as the CEO of several of the portfolio companies in times of transition. Gail Klintworth is the Group Customer Director and Responsible Business Lead at Old Mutual plc. In this role, Gail helps the business units deliver on their customer, brand and digital growth strategies and the critical strategic objective of becoming “the recognised financial services leader in Responsible Business.” Gail joined Old Mutual from Unilever, where most recently she was its Chief Sustainability Officer. In prior roles, Gail led Unilever’s global Savoury category, a number of global brands and was CEO of Unilever’s business in South Africa.

Tensie Whelan is Director, Center for Sustainable Business and Clinical Professor of Business and Society at the New York University Stern School of Business. She leads the School’s efforts around issues of business and sustainability, driving research and coursework on natural resource-based challenges including climate change, water scarcity, biodiversity loss, poverty and unsustainable development. As former President of the Rainforest Alliance, Tensie grew the international NGO from $4.5 million and 45 staff to $50 million and 400 staff and increased impact from 10 million acres to 180 million acres under sustainable management.

Tensie has been working in the environmental field for more than 25 years. Her published works include one of the first books on ecofriendly tourism, Nature Tourism: Managing for the Environment. She has been recognized as one of the “100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics” by Ethisphere and was awarded the James Beard Foundation Leadership Award in 2012.
